| I would like to thank every descendant of the Bob & Lucinda Roberts family Reunion for this great honor. For the things I do I seek no recognition or glory, if known in advance I would have resisted. I’m sure they knew this so it had to be a complete surprise, which to me it truly was. Still, I’m grateful and humbled; it is so heart warming to received this great honor. |
| I remember as a small child getting several whippings by my grand mother Alice Roberts-Sirmans. Back then any adult member of the family would get on a child's tail if he/she misbehaved. And a parent when told would thank them or may even give the child a second helping. |
| The 2010 Roberts Family Reunion was held in two phases. Phase #1 was held on July 30 - August 1, 2010 in sunny Jacksonville, Florida at the Holiday Inn, Baymeadows Phase #2 was a three day cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida to the Bahamas beginning on August 6th - to August 9th.
