| Is having a minimum wage a shallow stupid idea? I know my views are not taken seriously and are seen as kooky. However, some things need to be said regardless. In my view next to the welfare state I place a minimum wage the second worst destructive curse the progressive liberal have placed on this great predominant Christian nation. A minimum wage guarantees you you will not have a free floating free market place. There is nothing free about a government forcing a minimum wage on a free people. In a free democracy the government job is to collect taxes, protect the country from foreign and domestic enemies, and provide only the basic services that the citizens can't do for themselves, period. A welfare state mentality has screwed up our priority as a nation. Too many people today are placing the cart before the horse. They are more concerned about what have government done for me lately than what can I do for my self. I see all of these people believing the minimum wage should be raised, but they have no idea what creates wealth? They see this country as the richest country on earth but have no idea why it's the richest country on earth? They don't realize to create great wealth you first must have people willing to take great risk with an expectation for a great reward. Without a lot of these type of people great wealth cannot be created in a nation. And, the more high taxes and socialism you have the less of these types of people you will have. Normal ordinary people don't create great wealth because they are not willing to take great risk. Entrepreneurs are a special breed with a special mentality and there has never been and never will be a rich and prosperous country without them. You take away the expectation for a big reward and you will never create great wealth in a nation. Why do you think almost the whole world is poor and will always be poor? The reason is because those in power are greedy and selfish and will not allow a free market place with low taxes and unhindered competition. No one is going to be extra productive when the government is taking almost all of his or her reward. The US is still the engine and market of the world. The economies of the dragons, little dragons, and many others were built on and still survive on the US market. Otherwise, if they had to depend only on their own domestic market they would still be very poor. However, the US avoiding a rebirth at all cost has sold its soul and manufacturing base in search of new markets. Benjamin Franklin and the founding fathers would turn over in their graves if they knew their creation has been turned into this dooms day welfare state. All of these progressive liberals that are demanding higher taxes and a raise in the minimum wage think wealth is created out of thin air. Don't get me twisted, I'm a realist, and I know the minimum wage is here to stay. I know the clock can't just be turned back even if most agreed with me. Now, we are speeding too fast down this insane minimum wage welfare state road to just slam on brakes. What all of these raise the minimum wage people don't understand is, it’s not the amount of money that matters, its the buying power of the money that matters. Fifty years ago you could buy more food for ten dollars than you can for fifty dollars today. Sure, you can raise the minimum wage but it's not going to solve the problem because the things you buy are going to go up too. The root problem is the government as a provider is paying the poor people's share to allow prices to keep going higher and higher for everybody in a never-ending spiral. It's stupid. It's physical impossible to last. Nothing can continue unending growth. A rebirth must take place, but the welfare state has destroyed the nuclear family and our bartering capacity to get through a rebirth. It fits the old saying that "The way to hell is paved with good intention." Even learned economist may not have the perspective to dissect the inner working of an economy and understand what motivates people to create wealth. On the surface helping the poor is a noble and good thing, who could be against that? But, good intent and doing good have to be kept in perspective. Just ask any parent that failed to balance discipline with love. So, when the few progressive liberals at the time discovered after the "New deal" that doing good and providing for the poor would keep them in power the modern welfare state was born. Only a few realized at the time that a monster was being created, and today many still don't realize we have a monster on our hands. This super provider welfare state monster has eliminated the need for the traditional strong nuclear family, thereby destroying the basic unit for moral and human survival. If government were not paying anybody's share to support higher and higher prices the system would balance itself. Then the poor and the masses would be able to pay for their own food and medical bills because their numbers would dictate prices down to their levels. The prices and everything else would come down to a level where the poor and masses could pay out of pocket for the basic needs to survive. And if the government was out of the provider business a strong nuclear family system would rebound along with good moral and family values. Then when one couldn't make it the traditional strong nuclear and extended family umbrella would be there to assure survival. But, with this doomsday welfare state provider economy we are caught up in I have serious doubts about our long-term survival, especially as a free nation. Government as a provider is what's fueling inflation. Government as a provider is going to be our doom, there is no getting around that fact. Sure, many will laugh and call me a kook, but in my mind I think my writing is a national asset. One may not agree with anything I write, but everyone must admit that there is food for thought here that you will never find anywhere else. I don't hate or dislike government. In fact we can't survive without government, and there are many things we need that only government can provide. However, government has its place and must be kept in perspective. There is nothing better than good friendly government. But, this super provider welfare state the progressive liberals have enticed upon this great, great country is a monster that is going to gobble us all down. This welfare state monster is just like dope, he was all doctor feel good at first, but now his Mr. Hide side is going to strip this country of it's soul, dignity, and last ounce of self-respect. May God bless and keep America always. With Spanish being institutionalized can the United States avoid becoming Balkanized? Folks, as a nation I ask, where is our wisdom? Where is our long-term survival instinct as a nation? Where are the men and women that will put long-term survival of our nation above all else? Where are those that will sacrifice their life, career, and all else for the long-term survival of their nation? It may already be too late to get the support to make English the official national language. A unified United States must have only one official language; otherwise long term there will be no United States of America. With all of our different races and cultures, long term it will be impossible to keep this nation as one unit without one official language. Sure, I understand politics, but, my God! Don't we care about the long-term survival of our great nation? Even in India after the British made English the official national language the Indians themselves said it was a good thing. It unified the nation by allowing all of the different provinces with different dialects to have one common official language. If anyone disagrees with what I'm pleading, then it may already be too late, what a pity. Prosperity is always a good thing, but our welfare state has created masses of dependents with soft shallow mindsets. However, I'm telling you, around the world I'm sure other powers that think long term are taking notice and also harboring secret fears. They know this great North American giant is the most powerful military and economical force on earth. They know that great mighty power and being soft and shallow don't mix and can be very, very dangerous. They also know that you can't keep great power being soft and shallow but only so long. And, a great nation losing power can be compared to an injured wild beast, one of the most dangerous things there is. Believe me, in this country this type of thinking never crosses most people's mind, but that is not necessarily true around the world. If you don't think this nation is soft and shallow, just take a look at the idolizing of movie stars, entertainers, sport figures, and others. More people voted for a TV program than a single presidential candidate. I'm telling you, when real hard times hit this country, which won't be very long unless changes are made, soft shallow undisciplined government dependents are not going to sit still and play fair. Once they get hungry, it's going to be what's yours is mine instead of trying to get their own and it's going to be total chaos. The reason why the liberals want to "High tail it" out of Iraq? No one has to tell a genuine conservative that abortions are a threat to the survival of future generations. The germs, the bugs, and everything else is constantly evolving and there is no possible way for us to keep up except through procreation, period. Today's masses of liberals created by our welfare state have a problem recognizing moral or any threat facing this great nation. Now, about the liberals hidden agenda that I believe is fueling this ferocious uncontrolled desire to "high tail it" out of Iraq. It grates on the nerves of every American and no American wants to see our boys die over there. But still, I couldn't understand the liberal’s insane panic to flee at any cost. Then! It hit me like a ton of bricks. Whoa, there must be more here than meets the eye. With the all-volunteer force the liberals don't have to worry about their kids being sent over there, so, what could it be? There must be a bigger reason for this sheer panic. Then, wham! The knockout punch hit me, right smack dab between the eye balls and floored me. My God! Its the old "Guns or butter" theory raisin from the grave to haunt the liberals. It must be shot with a silver bullet or a stake driven through its heart. Sure, the liberals care about the lost of life over there, but, what really brought on all of this panic is the liberals fear of the war's cost. What is the one thing that they fear more than anything else? What could be so important that they are in a panic and feel this war must end no matter the consequences? That one thing is: "The nightmare of the welfare state being dismantled." "Hell no we won't let it go." "Hell no we won't let it go." "Hell no we won't let it go. “To the liberals, war or no war the welfare state is their God and it must be preserved at all cost, period. The cost of this war threatens the welfare state more than anything else in the eyes of the liberals. Is illegal prostitution shutting off a societal relief valve? The subject of prostitution is where you will find more hypocrites and self-righteousness than anywhere else. I'm not condoning anything, I'm just writing my views and observations. When you go back in history one thing all civilizations had in common was they had the wisdom to leave certain things alone. Prostitution was one of those things. It has always been legal and tolerated throughout history for a very good reason. In fact, in my view it is shallow and stupid to make prostitution illegal, why do you think we have so many child molesters and all kinds of perverts? Sure, regulate it and keep it under control but it should never be made illegal. Mother nature gave great pleasure to eating and sex to make sure there will be future generations. Therefore, those with real wisdom tend to leave prostitution alone as a necessary sin and not preach and fool around with it. Prostitution is a venting mechanism that takes pressure off the good decent nuclear family way of life. There are certain things we can pretend to get rid of, but in reality we can't and still remain civilized. We may be human, civilized, and all that, but we still have animal instincts. Right now, there is more sneaking around after dark than most of us would like to believe. Sexual energy is no fantasy it is physical and real whether we like it or not. It is one of the most powerful forces in all of our make up. Sexual energy will buildup like pressure in a steel drum and if it is not vented in a harmless way society is going to pay a price. It’s not something that can be snuffed out without serious side effects, sages of the distance past understood that. Just look around to where the force of some of this energy is popping out in perverted ways. There is a reason why the world's oldest profession is still around. Many will strongly disagree with my observations on this, but in my view the oldest profession has always been and will always be a societal relief valve. It is a relief valve for the unmarried and many other situations. Common sense should tell you what happens when a relief valve is closed off. Men by nature are aggressive creatures and sometimes one slight touch or one show of affection will prevent total self- destruction. As it is those that are ugly, antisocial, and with many other imperfections can't find legal sexual relief. Most men can channel their sexual energy into other productive things, but some cannot. Why do you think we have such a long list of child molesters and other perverts now days? My guess is unvented sexual energy is one leading cause. With no legal relief of sexual energy the only choice for many is self-relief. To get sexual relief a lot of men have sold out their soul and true beliefs, then start believing their sold out views as fact, that is one reason why you see so many spineless men today. Most of us have seen cases where a young man stays in trouble and is out of control, then he finds a girl friend or gets married and becomes as calm as a cucumber. Sure, he may feel more responsible, but the main reason is most of his aggression is being vented. Capitalizing on self-sexual relief is what's behind and driving this whole out of control invasive video pornography sex industry. There may be a lot of lookers, but the ones actually spending big money and buying are viewing for masturbating purpose, which is supporting and allowing all of this sluttish invasive stuff to be in our face. Surprisingly, women make up almost half of these consumers. However, I got news for anyone watching too much pornography. It can dull ones sexual imagination and lock one in a visual stimulation only mode in order to stay aroused. My intent is not to write how thing should or should not be, but to write things the way they really are. So, "How do you like me now?" |
